Have you ever wanted to show a video, and have students answer questions during the video? Have you been looking for a way to help your students be fully engaged with the videos you provide? Well, this cool tool might be just the thing you are looking for then! EduCanon allows you quickly add multiple choice, select all that apply, and reflection point questions to any existing YouTube video with the free version (there are other options with the upgraded account). Once you have added your questions, you can either provide a link or embed the video with questions via embed HTML code. Once students complete the video quiz, you can view their scores in the monitor section of your account. You can also assign your students with the task of creating their own video quizzes. Feel free to play around with the example video quiz below to see how it works. You (and your students) will have to create an account to take or create video quizzes.

In March 2014 I participated in a live Google Hangout to discuss the @ONE Online Teaching Certification Program. I was joined by three program graduates and Michelle Pacansky-Brock, The Center Coordinator. We had a great discussion about the certification program and the graduates provided amazing reflections about their progress and growth throughout the program. If you didn't get to see it live, check out the archive: Palomar Collage |
